Background
CouldBeNicer (pronounced Culd-B-Ny-Sa) joined the CC in early December. The origin of the name came about around 2 years previous. CouldBeNicer started his online journey on SundayLeague, a football management game. By rights, he was a small kid in a grown up internet game, which only could be made serious and realistic through the use of money, something which CouldBeNicer did not have. So he made a name for himself in the forums. They had a 'Flame' forum whereby anything did go. CouldBeNicer (under the name of Jaziri) started to 'flame' the forum. He took on a 'heel' character (the bad guy) but soon turned 'face (the good guy) when he defended a moderator. CouldBeNicer had 6 months on the site before he left. He returned for a short stint in 2008 but it never materialized to a full comeback.
CouldBeNicer had a 9 month break before returning to the internet game/social forray. His best friend (Jaxer) had been on the Casual Collective for weeks and CouldBeNicer's chemistry friend (BEAVO) had also joined. They both spoke of how good the site was. CouldBeNicer wanted to get back into the 'flaming' scene but was pressed for time. He chose 'CouldBeNicer' as it said exactly what he wanted it to say. He divulged at one point that he wanted to change his name to 'Enigma' or 'Abyss', but again it never materialised.
CouldBeNicer originally wanted to make a big impact on the site by starting with a little bit of mystery. The fact was that CasualCollective.com was about to relaunch into CC2 and that meant a new system of forums. CouldBeNicer therefore couldn't make the imapct he hoped he would do by having a thread called 'Flame in x Days', where a countdown would start. CouldBeNicer officially joined on the 6th December 2008.
School Days
CouldBeNicer attends school with his school mates BEAVO, Jaxer, 1607cjf and several other retired CC Members.
Early Days
CouldBeNicer began playing some Buggle Connect at first, and under the guidance of Jaxer, and a lot of heavy defeats, slowly climbed to level 1 within his first day. Again, with the forums becoming evermore complicated, CouldBeNicer had no real opportunity to become what his name promised. After a month, CouldBeNicer listened to his first radio show, CarpenterDon filling the void (in what would now ironically be CouldBeNicer's real timeslot). He got his name said on the radio twice and got a request played. From then on he was hooked on the radio.
CouldBeNicer and the Radio
In the next few weeks, CouldBeNicer would be listening to most radio shows when he could. He was fixated on winning Where's Rick, a competition run by the legendary MrsCritters, although he only won the sub prizes of Gold Membership (Game Speed Pack). He joined the group CC Radio and saw the 'Applying To Be A CC Radio DJ' thread. He asked permission from his parents and they told him to go for it. CouldBeNicer applied immediately at 8 weeks, the minimum requirement for a DJ to be on the site. 5 days after applying, and getting tracks off his Mum and Dad's computer, CouldBenicer got accepted into the DJ squad.
CC Radio DJ
CouldBeNicer started his first radio show in mid-Feburary, going on after LuckyMustard (thank you Lucky) kindly went off the air for CouldBeNicer to have his first show. It was always a dream of CouldBeNicer to be a DJ of some sorts, and however small scale it was, it made him live his dream. His debut show attracted 33 listeners, but got cut short after Live365.com scrwed up and disconnected him. DickNervous follwed after. In his first week of DJing, CouldBeNicer got 20 hours of airtime, including 3 shows that Friday totalling 10 hours. It was on this Friday that MrsCritters first heard his voice.
MrsCritters proceeded to 'adopt' CouldBeNicer, with Katski as an aunt. A special 'CouldBeNicer's Adoption Party' attracted a record 60 listeners (a record for CouldBeNicer, we know Aggixx had a huge number listening a while back, same with Mearowene) and 5 public. In his first week, he gained a popularity level to which he started his DJing career with just 5 friends. He now had 170+.
He DJ'ed for the following weeks with consistant listeners and the listeners well into their 30's, peaking in 50's.
CouldBeNicers DJing Style
CouldBeNicer will take no nonsense from anyone. He is a risky DJ who flaunts with the rules and always stays within in them. That ensures that he stays on top of the listeners and makes sure that he elads the show, not the listeners.
CouldBeNicers Strike
DickNervous had to finish his show early, so CouldBeNicer filled in for a few hours. During the first hour, CouldBeNicer was DJing with 3 seperate spammers and their friends egging them on to do more. Finally, he lost his temper on air, calling them 'babyish' and 'a disgrace to everyone associated with them' and went off the air. What he did was still in the rules but he proceeded to join CarpenterDon (who was on strike as well at the time) on strike, calling for a 'kick' or 'boot' button to be created. The strike lasted about 3 weeks before CouldBeNicer returned to the airwaves as normal, and started with a Comic Relief/Tribute show, which gained acclaim by it's listeners as well.
CouldBeNicer has always promoted other DJs on air as well as his other shows. It is no secret that he is a big fan of Mrs Critters and CarpenterDons shows but also he likes JamboHarv's shows and has become a fan of Elzeothis as well.
CBNs Return
On Wednesday 3rd June 2009, CouldBeNicer shocked members of the CC with his unexpected comeback. He was billed to come back on the 8th of June but returned earlier to much surprise. He did a show that day as well, which was a all new show with new songs, which attracted 49 listeners at its peak. CouldBeNicer also now has a scheduled show, 1400GMT-1700GMT on Wednesdays.
CouldBeNicer returns also with the listener record for CCv2, with 96 listeners, beating Mearowene's previous record. His final show attracted 8 public listeners at it's peak and 88 CC Members listening in. This show also saw the creation of the 'Asylum', a group of members on Skype who dedicate to randomness.
CBNs Name Change
CouldBeNicer requested a name change to CBN, as it was shorter to write and easier to write for show titles. 12 days after the request, he got his name changed. On Tuesday 14th September, CBN was granted another name change to Fulturbo.
CBNs Resignation
On Tuesday 23rd June 2009, CBN offered his resignation, after admitting misconduct during one of his shows. This resignation was accepted with regret by the CC Radio Mods.
CBNs Britishness
CouldBeNicer has been known to utter the phrase "Great scones of Westchester!"
