Gameplay
The goal of Splitter 2 is to complete levels by moving a ball from a starting position to a hole. The level consists of a 2 dimensional plane in which wooden, iron, and brick objects and string are positioned. In order to complete a level, players must physically alter it by cutting wooden objects and string in such a way that the ball moves into the hole. Iron objects cannot be cut but can be forced to move by rotational elements, string, and gravity. On the other hand, brick objects maintain a fixed position and are not affected by forces.
Materials:
- Wood: Can be cut and moved.
- Metal: Can be moved, but not cut.
- Brick: Cannot be moved or cut. but there is a glitch to make things go trough it
- Rope: Stays a constant length in almost all situations, can be completely removed by cutting
- Hinge: Cannot be moved to cut, objects attached can pivot at the hinge point. Can be "disabled" by cutting so nothing (or very little) is on it.
- Rotating hinge: Like hinge, but objects rotate instead or pivoting freely
Points are scored based on the number of cuts the player made and the time it takes for the ball to reach the hole. For every cut made, 100 points are deducted from the maximum score. The maximum score is calculated by multiplying the number of cuts available to the player in each level by 100, and then adding an extra 100.
Levels
The table lists all 32 main levels in Splitter 2. The Cuts column mentions the number of allowed cuts and the minimal number of cuts it can be done in. The highscore table mentions the highest currently known score in that particular level. The time it took to complete that level can be calculated by adding up a certain number to hundredfold.
