Farragomate is a multi player word game on the Casual Collective created by Critters. The goal is to make creative sentences from composite words and letters. Farragomate was released as one of two new games coming with Casual Collective 2, the other one being Minions.

Gameplay

A game consists of ten rounds. First a theme is selected, to which sentences should abide (unless theme mode is not enabled). Then players get to form their sentences. These are constructed from composite words and letters. The word selection is partially random and is shown at a virtual chalkboard. The elements can be freely arranged to form a sentence. After a set time this round ends. Then all players' sentences are displayed. Each player then votes for the one he thinks best; a player may not vote for himself. There are no objective criteria as to what makes a good sentence, but usually creative and fun sentences win.

The word list differs between rounds, but there are four factors which can be changed when creating games: Theme play (if selected, players are given a question to answer or a sentence to complete in each round; otherwise players just make free-form sentences); the Maximum number of players (players can enter and leave a game at any time, limited to how many players there are in conjunction with the maximum for each game); Thinking time (how long people will have to construct their sentence) and Word filters (edits the word list to be suitable for a younger audience). There have been reported cases of the word filter missing some words, but, as of yet, no solution has presented itself. There has also been reported errors of a glitch that causes scores to register n/a even if the player was in the game from start to finish.

Scoring

At the end of each round, players earn in-game points based on the outcome of the vote. Each player collects one point for every vote his sentence receives, a five point bonus if his sentence receives the most votes (in case of a tie, all players involved in the tie collect the bonus), and a one point bonus if he voted for the winning sentence. Players who failed to cast a vote cannot collect any points.

Farragomate is the only game that doesn't give sitewide points and thus doesn't help in gaining level. The reason is that this could be easily abused. Many players regret this, because it is perceived as a reason for the relative unpopularity of the game.
