DJ Info

I'm a DJ for our radio station. You can suggest/request bands, genres, or decades, (look at the list below - coming soon - to see if I have that band, genre or decade). You can also request a specific song by a band/artist (but I will have to wait an hour to play it per the rules that all CC DJs must abide by) by looking at my master playlist to see if I have it, however if you can't click thru to the link for whatever reason, then please just go to the backup of suggesting/requesting bands, genres, or decades as talked about above.

Another thing... if you want to request a song, then when you look at my master playlist copy and paste the number, band name, and song title, and paste that info into the dj mailbag, which is the text box in the radio widget/window.

Coming Soon! - lists of bands, genres, decades that I have songs from! For now, please look at the lists below which are just my favorite bands:

Using Winamp, the songs that I own the most of by artist/band:

  1. The Beatles
  2. Pavement
  3. The Flaming Lips
  4. Beastie Boys
  5. Radiohead

However, that isn't a great list at this point. My favorites the way I really see it are:

  1. The Beatles
  2. Radiohead
  3. Pavement

It becomes tougher after that to order them, so here they are not numbered (but in Last.fm order up to #30): Beck, Belle & Sebastian, The Flaming Lips, Cursive, Foo Fighters, Badly Drawn Boy, The Futureheads, The Walkmen, Bloc Party, The Smashing Pumpkins, Sufjan Stevens, The Dears, The White Stripes, Beastie Boys, Wilco, Spoon, The Shins, Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Modest Mouse, Hot Chip, Bright Eyes, Blur, Bob Dylan, The Clash, Vampire Weekend.

That does seem like a lot of rock, but I'm very open to many kinds of music and have a song or two by every well-known genre. I also have some music that fits in some not-so-well-known genres.

Posted on Facebook notes app (kinda like a blog): I like music a lot. I like listening to it. I like performing it with others. I like mixing it. I like thinking about it. I like talking about it with others.

I have about 300 CDs, about 50 vinyl albums LPs, actually several hand-me-downs from my dad's collection, and others that I've picked up at garage sales or used record/book stores. Grabbing these has become an obsession whenever I happen to be at such a store or garage sale, because I once held in my hands the Beatles' "Hey Jude" LP and didn't purchase it, and I've always regretted that.
