Upgrade Costs
All minions have different costs for most upgrades now so we need a table. Is this good?

- I think it is interesting enough. I personally don't like it when an article becomes a list of tables, as it is now. This info however can't be presented in a different way. So for this one it is fine. The maps info is presented in a table as well. I would prefer written text. A table like this only has a meaning if you know there is maps in the first place and that there is different game modes. Both are never explained. So this article is useful for people who already know a lot, but inaccessible to new people. Same goes for ranks, very much. They aren't even introduced, just a table put up on which thing equals what rank. This is not a rant, just a reminder that we should strive to inform the new people, so thus don't assume people know stuff already. If you are not known to MoI yet, this article probably is very confusing. --Pino 11:14, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
I suggest that the entire table be moved to the Booster Points article. I may do this in the next few days. It would put the information in a more relevant context. --Fredward 06:20, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- Completely agree. This is an overview article. While interesting info, it doesn't really belong here in such detail. --Pino 14:45, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm afraid that upgrade tablet is totally outdated. I was just upgrading Doc and no one cost was correct. I have updated Doc's section but it is clear that other minions aren't correct.
I filled in the rest of the basher numbers. Also, do we need "BP" to be in every column? it makes the table hard to look at. Maybe we can put the "in BP" in the description. We also need to define what BP is. --Loki3 20:23, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- I removed the BP from the cells. Note that the BP system is explained in the paragraph above, although it could be clearer. --Pino 14:02, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Now its clearer. I also think that "Total" column on the right of the table is totelly useless and only make table more messy. C'mon. Who need information how many BP is needed to upgrade Traction to second level in all minions? More useful information would be amount oh points needed to max every stat for every single minion, but in my opinion ppl can add themselves. There is no need to make table more messy then it have to be. I would also propose to separate every stat by broad line. As it is curently they blur each other. What do you think?
- I disagree about the total part. Clearly those stats are not very interesting, but it is about the stats below it (that you are talking about). The total upgrade costs and total total costs. Alright, you can calculate them yourself, but why not save time and just put em there?
- I was talking only about "Total" column on the right side of the table. These are totally unuseful bits of information. On opposite side I can imagine reasons why one could want to know total cost of upgrading or unlocking and upgrading of one particular minion.Qamar 18:53, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well, we basically agree on this. Very few people/noone wants to know the costs of upgrading rate of fire 2 for every minion, for example. The thing is though that due to the total row in that location, we can have the 3 bottom right stats as well (total upgrade costs, total unlock costs and total costs), which are extremely interesting, possibly the most interesting of it all. So since we want to have that column anyway for these three stats, we can just as well fill in these other values, which are not quite as interesting. That's my view on it at least.
- Apart from that, I somewhat like the fact that it has all the possible ways to calculate, although some ways indeed are not useful. If you have a better way to arrange it though, feel free to give it a try, since I do agree these stats are not really necessary, but I don't think they hurt or take in extra space, since we have to use that space anyway. --Pino 19:10, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

- About the next point. Yea, it is quite hard to read out that table. Also it is quite a number fumble indeed. I don't think it would be better though if we used broader lines. Have to keep the article small as well. In general there is quite some reasons -not- to use tables and text instead, but in this case I think it is a useful table that can only be put in this form really. --Pino 13:05, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- I wasen't thinking about makeing every line broad. Only these separating different upgrades. Like for example between Engine 3 and Traction 1.Qamar 18:53, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- PS Sorry for long absence. I didn't know that I need to relog on CC page to be able to post here again.Qamar 18:53, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yea, the logout problem is something that bugs several people; it is not intuitive. On the broader lines; I basically agree, but the table should look different for that. The black lines are basically so ugly that we'd rather not have more of them. Yet if the look of the table is more friendly, adding slightly broader lines between different stats (but not as broad as the current ones), would be useful. I will search a little bit if I can make it look better and add in the suggestion you have. --Pino 19:10, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

- It is filled, well done people :D --Pino 08:58, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
RC3 changed upgrade costs
so.. the whole table needs to be re-done :(
Minion (game)
We need to make a every moi minion page ex. Splodge - Disambiguation to Splodge (Minions) and Splodge (Minions on Ice).
I starting to do taht but please help me! :) --PLkiller 11:12, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
PS. If I've do some problems, or I'm stupid - sorry...say me that and I repair everything --PLkiller 11:23, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
- I understand your reasoning, but disagree. In terms of gameplay the minions in both games are completely different indeed, but making separate articles only confuses it. The thing is, right now the Minions articles are focused way too much on Minions and too little on MoI. These things have to be separated better indeed, but imo it should be done without creating separate articles, because they are one and the same Minion. --Pino 18:36, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
- The best method of separate is make two articles... basher in Minions and basher is MoI is two another minions. That's not the same minion. Them look that same etc. but tha'ts two minions. And in my opinion is separating these minions in easy to understand method. If my method is bad how you want to change that? --PLkiller 18:42, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
- I would prefer to have '2 articles in 1'. Namely, to start like: "Basher is a gaming character in Minions and Minions on Ice. It is one of the most simple to play Minions. ....". Then have 2 headers; Minions and Minions on Ice, under which things are clarified. I have to agree that the Minions on Ice basher in reality is not equal to the Minions basher in terms of gameplay or stats, but they are one and the same thing. If you separate them people will start thinking "huh, are these different then". It would be better to have 1 article, but have a distinct separation within the article between the two games. It is a bit like the article buggle. We won't create a buggle article for each game, even though in each game a buggle really is a different thing. --Pino 16:13, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- So...OK :) --PLkiller 14:25, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
