Purple Revolution

The Purple Revolution was a meme involving people turning their avatar hair purple. It had several hundred other participants.
It started on the 17th of April 2009 when StevieXD tweeted that he would harm purple people after someone suggested making their avatar entirely purple. This shocked those with a secret admiration of the colour purple. With the colour purple in danger, the purple lovers stepped out of the shadows and fought back. kiko, the Indigo General of the Purple People, organized a club to take down StevieXD. Purple slurpees were handed out, with the sale of the day going way past the previous sales of slurpies all time total.
Critters has since posted the sales of slurpees on April 18th. From October 2007 to April 17th 40 slurpees were purchased, whereas on april 18th alone 122 slurpees were purchased.
StevieXD admitted defeat after going away from keyboard for a few hours and coming back to find his account with six Purple Slurpees and his shoutbox flooded with pictures of all things purple.

Purple Power club
Purple Power was the club formed to thwart StevieXD's plans. It was used to distribute slurpees to people and organize the purple lovers. On April 18th 2009, StevieXD surrendered in this club.
Administrator involvement
As with many serious conflicts, the leaders had to choose sides as well. Critters took the easy way and joined the majority. Grrr on the other hand created an alliance of evil with StevieXD. Despite this high-profile support, StevieXD still went down. With that Grrr's political powers were damaged; it now was clear he could be beaten.

- April 18th - 7:00 AM - StevieXD makes his hatred of purple hair public.
- April 18th - 9:42 AM - kiko sends out the rallying cry against Stevie's oppressive purple-hating politics.
- April 18th - 3:23 PM - StevieXD, feeling the cold, purple twinge of the movement, commits a desperate act - capturing Mrs Critters.
- April 18th - 3:28 PM - Mrs Critters realizes she was captured.
- April 18th - 5:41 PM - Critters is also captured by StevieXD to keep Mrs Critters company.
- April 18th - 8:30 PM - The Purple Power club is formed in solidarity with the hostage Critters(es).
- April 18th - 9:14 PM - The first purple slushie icon is given away.
- April 18th - 9:53 PM - The 100th purple slushie icon is given away.
- April 19th - 9:24 AM - Grrr officially forms an alliance with StevieXD. Takes away TdlrGrrr's purple toys.
- April 19th - 2:34 PM - StevieXD logs back in, and is buried under a purple avalanche of slushie gifts and shoutbox purple-ization.
- April 19th - 4:00 PM - StevieXD admits defeat, and releases Critters and Mrs Critters.
Popularity today
This meme is rarely mentioned today, however as of now there are different hair color groups, which occasionally try to repeat the purple's success.
Purple Day will be celebrated every year on April 18th on which everyone wears purple by a small part of the community.
Spinoffs
The popularity of the Purple Power club lead to several spin-offs. Most notably are Green, Dark Red, and Blue. These clubs are also based around the color of your avatar's hair. However, none of these clubs have come anywhere near to achieving the success that Purple had.
