Moderator

A moderator is a Casual Collective member who helps to administer public clubs and other public spaces on the Casual Collective, including General Discussion, Help and Support, official game clubs, and in-game or dedicated chat rooms. Additionally, a separate moderator oversees the Casual Collective Wiki. Moderators are chosen by administrators, and are generally members well-known by the administrators and by the Casual Collective community.

Duties
Moderator duties include removing or editing inappropriate content (from posts, shouts, twitters, avatars, and profile descriptions), keeping serious threads on-topic, reporting violations of the Terms of Service, and assisting other members.
Guidelines for moderation, and discussion areas for current issues, are kept in the private CC Moderators club.
All change actions taken by moderators are logged and are able to be reviewed by administrators. When such an action is taken, a system notification message is sent to the member whose content has been changed.

- sticky/unsticky/delete/restore/lock/unlock threads
- delete shouts/avatars/profile descriptions
- warn members
- delete user made game levels

All administrators are also moderators.
Controversy
Because the Casual Collective has only had moderators since July, 2009, many questions have been raised by some members about the nature of moderation, and specific acts taken by moderators. In response to this concern, the CC Moderator Feedback club was created.
Enhancements to the system notification messages have been promised, due to their lack of detail concerning moderated content. In particular, the location (club, thread, etc) of offending content, original text, and a standardized reason for moderation are not yet provided in these messages. Some users have reported the thread name in deletion posts.
