Memes are an important aspect of the Casual Collective for a certain part of the community. Memes usually start on the forums or on someone's shoutbox; something strange is said or done and this is picked up. Once picked up it is shared by hundreds of the 'core' members; the ones that barely play games and mostly spend times shouting and on forums. Jokes that are outdated for months already are still made about the memes (which is part of the fun for many).

It is questionable how big memes really are. Despite being known by a fairly large club of people, most people of the Casual Collective probably have not heard of them. Only those involved in reading the forums and having the same friends probably are really aware of them.

List of memes

This is a selection of memes, that are considered noteworthy enough for an article. Since there is no objective way of measuring 'meme', this list is arbitrary.

• Purple Revolution; a lot of people turned their avatar purple for a few days
• "You can upgrade boost towers?"; someone made a forum post asking that question
• I have an ant; a thread about someone having an ant as a pet started this meme
• Loren646, the #1 Player; for a period of time, a user named loren646 claimed to be the undisputed number one player on the Collective
• Cobras vs. Mongooses; a war between two groups
• AWExOME; a new way of spelling awesome
• Screw Guen; a meme revolving around user guen
• john; replacing words with john
• Free Speech; a thread about free speech
• Ninja'd; when someone in a forum types something like 'I agree with the above poster' but you then realize the above poster changed and you end up looking like a fool.

Reccuring memes

These memes come back every once in a while.

• Petition; occasionally people start placing lots of petitions.

Minor memes

As a lot of stuff happens on the Casual Collective there are also lots of minor memes, Some of which may include the following:

• Basual Bollective (replacing C's with B's, although the starter forgot about the third C)(other spellings exist such as communist collective and censored collective)
• I Love Carl ( involves how multiple members showed love to carl)
• Several I'm leaving threads were created on April Fools Day, but they were all deleted within a few minutes, and some posters were warned.
• Turn Poop into ___ (multiple threads that involve turning poop into another substance or vice versa)
• Cool story bro (posting this on threads that are stupid. Similar to tl;dr)
