You got mail!
When a message is sent to you the messages button will turn orange to alert you. Any unread messages will have the word 'NEW' next to them in red. Click on the message subject to expand it to read the full message.
To reply to a message
Simply expand the message by clicking on the subject then press the 'Reply' button at the bottom of the message. When you have written your reply just press 'Send'
3 ways to send a message
- First click on the 'Messages' button (top right) and then click on the 'Send a message' tab. You can then select from anyone on your friends list to send a message to.
- If someone is not on your friends list but you see their name in the forum, shoutbox or anywhere on the site you can click the orange down arrow next to their name, this will open a menu which you can select 'Send a message' from.
- If you click on a members name to view their profile you can click on 'Send a private message' button at the top of their profile page.
Deleting mail
To delete a message, click the red cross next to the message then confirm. Deleting a message will not delete it from the other persons inbox (similar to email). If they reply to a message you deleted it is un-deleted from your inbox so you can see the whole conversation. Only when both members delete the message is it removed from the database (lost forever)
