Game Points

Game Points are points gained by playing games on the Casual Collective. Gamepoints contribute to a registered user's level. All games give game points, except for Farragomate. An overview of game points and other statistics can be found in the Game History on each user's profile.
Mechanism
Singleplayer games
How single player game points are awarded is unknown. Most likely it is based on game time.
Multiplayer games
The mechanism for achieving game points is not entirely known. It depends on four factors:
- Game time
- Game score
- Player rank
- Elo
In general a longer game time, game score or player rank means more points are gained. The Elo system acts as a balance mechanism, so that more points can be gained in harder matches. Each and every player has an Elo score for each game that is always hidden. The Elo ranking is based on previous games and how good someone was there. Better players have higher Elo. A higher Elo means players will usually get less points, because they on average play versus players that are worse than them.
