Flash Element TD 2, often abbreviated to FETD2, is the sequel to the popular Flash Element TD game. It also has elements and similiarities to the game Vector TD. The goal is to defend elements that lie at the end of a maze against creeps that wish to steal them, by building towers along the maze to kill the creeps. Both FETD and FETD 2 were created by Critters.

History

Flash Element TD 2 is the successor to Flash Element TD. This was a very popular game years ago. Despite being successor, the games are very different.

Gameplay

In this game, the player builds towers to defend his elements from the advancing creeps by killing them. The maps consists of a small track through which the creeps walk. The player can build towers around the track, which shoot the passing creeps. The elements are positioned at the end of the track. If the creeps manage to get there alive, they pick up the elements and start moving back, trying to steal them. If the player loses all of his elements, the game is over. The creeps come in waves, that consist of a specific type. The number of waves and their difficulty depends upon which of the three maps are chosen. Towers can be upgraded up to four times, each time increasing their effectiveness. Towers also earn experience for their kills (or shots, for Blue and Red towers) which increases their effectiveness in specific areas.

Elements

There are five elements, each gains different stats with experience:

Money is earned by killing creeps and accruing interest after each completed wave. Thus it is often necessary to save money so that more interest will be earned and more towers can be bought in the future.

The ten towers

There are ten towers to build, each linked to one of five elements:

Creeps

Creeps continue through the maze until killed or reaching an element or the end, upon which they turn around and attempt to escape the maze. If an element is stolen, the player does not receive any interest for that level.

There are several types of creeps:

Every seven waves (with the slight exception of Zigzag), there is a boss wave, which gives the player 10 tokens. There are several items that can be bought at the shop with tokens:

Maps

  • Wiggle - A very twisty and easy map with 50 waves.
  • Zigzag - A slightly less twisty harder map with 59 waves.
  • Hook - A 50 waves map with harder starting waves than wiggle that barely twists.

Scoring

The player's score is increased when he kills a creep or receives interest at the end of a wave. The multiplier for the latter method of gaining points can be increased by using tokens in the store.
