Desktop Defender (formerly called DTDQP for Desktop Tower Defense Quick Play) is a game playable on Facebook, that is not playable on the Casual Collective. The game was created by Grrr to get a wider audience.
Many wild guesses were made at the meaning of the acronym "QP", until Critters confirmed on September 5th that it stood for "Quick Play". On September 18th, he announced that the game could now be called "Desktop Defender".
Cards
Cards are required to build towers and use special abilities. Cards can only be obtained by buying them at the store with coins. After a card has been bought they must be selected to be used in the game. Selecting a card takes up one of the available slots.

- Extra Slot - Allows one more card to be used per extra slot
- Slow - Slows down all but immune creeps by x%
- Wave - Sends the next wave for bonus points
- Slap - Removes x% of all visible creeps' life
- Zap - Kills x creeps with the most health
- Turbo - Speeds up all towers by x%
Coins
Coins are used to buy cards. The first time you play Desktop Defender you get 1,000 free coins. Coins can be obtained by:
- You get 50 coins each day and an extra 20 for every friend playing Desktop Defender.
- Buying them
- Completing offers
- Random chests containing 50 to 1000, gifted from friends once per day
