Club

Clubs are a means of social networking as part of the Casual Collective site. They faciliate communication between users on a subject of common interest in a dedicated place. Clubs can both be created and joined by users themselves. As such they allow for lots of freedom to the users; they can decide what topics interest them and only take part of these clubss. Each club has a different aim that appeals to different people. Most of the time it will be something related to the site (A few examples are, CC Radio, Minions, Music, and Site News). There are also interest clubs such as Artistic Show and Tell, Forum Games and Minions Cup. By joining a club, people can communicate with those in the same club by shouting in the shoutbox, using the forum or posting comments on news.
While previously all were called groups, as of May 2009 there has been a separation between two types. Groups became clubs (this article), which are for social activities. A new group type was born; teams. Teams focus on the competitive side of the website.

Creating and joining clubs
A player can join up to 20 clubs (20 more with Gold Membership). Depending on the type of club, players can join themselves or have to be invited. One can only join a private club when invited. Public clubs can be joined at will. Once joined, a user can react to the news, write forum posts and shout in the shoutbox.
Players can also create clubs themselves. This is done on the clubs page. The first club created is free. From then on, creating clubs costs 100 Casual Credits. As a club creator, one becomes the sheriff. This means this user can manage everything on the club (see next chapter).

News section
Here those with the correct permissions can post news, to which other members can react.
Shoutbox
This is a page for members to post short messages in a chatlike fashion. This is often used for non-serious messages
Forums
Each club comes with two free boards for forum usage, but each additional forum board costs 30 Casual Credits. The forum can be both accessed from the clubs page as well as from the forum page, which automatically merges the boards from every club a member is part of.
Admin features
The club admin (or sheriff) has many abilities.
- Adding a Shoutbox
- Creating, Editing, Deleting, and Writing in forums
- Managing news
- Starting a new forum thread
- Managing club members (kick member, ban member, make a member a sheriff/deputy)
- Changing tags and description
