Avatar

An Avatar is a small usercreated picture used to identify the users, so that they won't get confused on who's who. The avatars are shown on a user's profile page, next to forum posts and in shoutbox messages and in the game lobbies. On the Casual Collective users can not upload their own avatars. In stead they have to use the avatar creator to create something of their liking.

Occasionally avatar contests are held.

Avatar creator

The avatar creator is a Flash application that lets users create an avatar, made by Critters. Avatars are created by selecting between different head shapes, hair styles, skin colors, nose shapes, eye shapes, eyebrow shapes and mouth shapes. After having chosen these, the user can resize and move around elements to form a face. Last the camera position can be determined. In this way there is endless possibilities. Many creative users have even created avatars looking nowhere near a face by using the shapes in a way to represent something different.

The avatar creator can be found in one's user profile. Creating inappropriate or explicit avatars is not allowed.
